I thought I would share a bit more of how the law of attraction works and how it has impacted my life.
When I finished my book Mind Over Platter, I was uncomfortable referring to myself as an author. I realized that I needed to change my self image and my inner beliefs and stretch beyond my comfort zone to consider myself an author. Not just an author but a best selling author, one that is featured in radio interviews and talks shows etc. While I am an expert in the area of how to program your brain to create more of what you desire. I was not using the law of attraction to get what I want. For example I was saying my affirmations, I am a best selling author and yet I was preoccupied with how people would feel about me revealing my personal story. So what I was really sending out to the universe was the message of worry and hesitation. I was also alerting my brain to filter for what I was worried about and bringing that into my awareness. And let me tell you it sure did. I was feeling anxious for no reason.
Once I realized that I must focus all of my energy on what I want and give none to what I don't want things began to move very rapidly. When I felt hesitation or worry I envisioned a line of people asking me to sign their book, each one telling me how my personal story inspired them. This filled me with gratitude and hope and a desire to do more for my readers. A very important aspect of the law of attraction is in visualizing yourself with what you desire, feel the feelings and imagine it is real. This works on both levels the mind and the body. The result is that I act on my desire and not on my fear. Last week three CEO's called me and asked me to come in to speak to their employees!
It doesn't end there, I received a call from her Magazine asking to photograph and interview me. This was exciting enough, then I was asked to be one of their featured bloggers beginning in January! See this "attraction" thing really does work!
So put your focus on what you want, a healthy body, a new car, an exciting new job, you decide. Then don't worry, feel happy about it and see what shows up. Who knows you might attract a healthier, happier and prosperous New Year!
